The Mears State Park is a beautiful destination to spend a day out with your dog. The park offers a swimming beach, campsites, fishing, and a playground. The park also has a paved walking path along the lake where you both can get a good walk in, but make sure your dog is leashed here. Pay attention to signs, because there are certain areas Fido needs to stay on a leash when you are out at the park.
Spend a day out at the John Gurney Park with Fido by your side. The park has a ton of amenities like a pavilion, picnic area, baseball fields, basketball courts, and it sits right off Hart Lake. There is a wooded area with trails that you can use for a hike with your pup, and if you want to spend a few nights, they offer campsites where you can sleep under the stars. Enjoy a hike along the Hart-Montague Rail Trail with your pup. This paved trail is 23.5-miles long and covers 225-acres! The trail starts in Hart and goes all the way to Whitehall if you decide to complete the entire trail. Make sure when you are visiting to keep your pup on a leash. Your pup will love spending a day at Gales Pond County Park alongside you. The park sits on Gale Pond and offers an amazing hiking trail that you can explore together. The trail has a bridge that you can cross over the pond with and there are tons of trees to keep you shaded. The Doolittle County Park has 40-acres of land that your dog can explore with you. The park is filled with trails for hiking, and is a great location to get a walk in with your furry pal. Make sure Fido stays on a leash when you visit both of these parks with your pup. Located in Hart, your dog won't mind the small trip to check out these great parks.
Take your pup over to the Silver Lake State Park and enjoy an afternoon out hiking and exploring. The park offers 2,000 acres of sand dunes, a sandy beach, campgrounds, and a forested area. There is a hiking trail through the park that the two of you can use for a walk, but make sure when you are out at the park to keep your dog on a leash since they do have an off-roading area. The park also offers a picnic area, restrooms, and a playground. This pawsome park is in Mears, just ten miles out of Pentwater.

There is a grass area for fetch and a small walking area that the two of you can use for a good day of exercise before you head home for the day. Enjoy a day out at the Mason County Picnic Area. This park sits on a small lake and has restrooms, a large grass area, three disk golf courses, a playground, and a picnic area. Located in Ludington, and only seven miles from Pentwater, your dog will love visiting this new park with you.
