North Point Beach
North Point Beach is a super friendly destination you don’t want to miss! This scenic puppy recreation area rests on the shores of Lake Michigan near the Portage Lake area. There are always plenty of pups for your four-legged friend to play with, as well as lots of room for them to splash around! North Point is the pawfect place for a relaxing sun bath or leisurely swim, and unlike other beach areas, dogs are welcome everywhere, including the swimming beach and pier. This is a local favorite, so you will need to get here early because parking is limited!

Downtown Ludington
Downtown Ludington will have your canine feeling city chic with its vast number of pup-friendly boutiques and restaurants! Avenue’s End Mini Mall gives local pups a variety of options where they can do their shopping, such as an antique shop, art gallery, woodworking shop, candle store, country store, several fashion boutiques, and so many more. Your pup is sure to work up an appetite after all that retail therapy, and the downtown area has 5 dog-friendly restaurants to satisfy her empty stomach. One particularly pawpular grub spot is Blu Moon; a fusion bistro serving up a mix of French, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish cuisines! If your pug is concerned about that plate of pasta going straight to her hips, head over to Ludington's dog park for some exercise!

Ludington State Park
The 3,000-acre Ludington State Park is an excellent place for some fur-riendly camping with your favorite outdoorsy pup. Visiting pets must be leashed at all times and are not allowed on the swim beaches or in the park buildings. But don’t fret! There are several locations where your pups can go for a dip besides the beach area, including Sargent Sand Lake (on Piney Ridge Road) and Lost Lake (above the Beechwood campground). The state park is home to an array of wildlife and has several excellent trails for you and your pooch to explore the natural habitat. There is lots to see and do here, so bring a tent and stay a while!

Honor Highway
The Cherry Bowl Drive-In Theater off Honor Highway is a pawesome place for the whole gang. Every weekend, this cinematic center offers a double-feature for pets and humans to enjoy, as well as lots of other activities to entertain families. Two-legged kiddos adore the playground and mini-golf course, and there is even a dog run for the furry guests! There are tons of handcrafted goodies for visitors to devour during their visit, including homemade caramel corn, popcorn made with real creamery butter, and hot dogs! This spot is sure to be a treat for your pack!

Grace Road
Thirty miles north in the Benzonia Township sits a furtastic pup park that is definitely worth a trip. Benzonia Memorial Dog Park is a charming dog run that gives local pets a gorgeous sizable expanse to stretch their legs and make new friends! This leash-free facility is described as clean and well-kept by the frequent park goers and has lots of amenities for visitor convenience. There is water on-site for parched companions and lots of shade where guests can cool off! The park isn’t sectioned off, so pups of all sizes have the entire park at their disposal! Little dogs especially love the chance to run with the big dogs!
