Dog Areas in Thompsonville

Thompsonville is a very small village in Michigan with a total area of 1 square mile. The village may be tiny, but you can still sniff out some dog-friendly places here. Thompsonville is known for two things: the Crystal Mountain ski resort and the Iron Fish Distillery. The climate is humid continental, which basically means warm summers and very cold winters. If you and your pup love to vacation in cold weather, this is the pawfect place for you!

Looking for a pet-friendly place to stay in Thompsonville? You should definitely visit the Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa! You can also find plenty of cabins and lodges in the village where dogs are allowed to stay with you. If you get hungry, take your pup on a doggie dinner date at the Thistle Pub & Grill for some delicious seasonal dishes.

Three miles west of Thompsonville is Michigan Legacy Art Park. This amazing place is a 30-acre outdoor sculpture park. Leashed doggies are welcome to accompany you as you marvel at some of the beautiful pieces.

There are no veterinary services in the village, but there are a few animal hospitals in the vicinity. The closest one is around 10 miles away from Thompsonville, in Benzonia. You'll find another option in nearby Honor, just 16 miles away.

#3 The Village at Grand Traverse Commons

If you and Fido need some retail therapy, you should definitely add The Village at Grand Traverse Commons to your must-visit list! In the 19th century, the original building served as a hospital. Today, it's a unique dog-friendly shopping center and residential community located ruffly 27 miles away from Thompsonville. Many of the shops in the Mercato welcome leashed pets, and if Fido is on his best behavior, he just might get some treats and belly rubs from the shopkeepers! The best part?
