Young State Park
Does your dog get his leash out with the specific demand to go to the beach? If so, Young State Park is pawfect for you! Nestled along Lake Charlevoix, you and Fido can swim along the shoreline, eat at the picnic area, or rent out 1 of the 3 cabins available in the park. Your dog will get the best of all worlds with grassy fields to play in alongside the dazzling white sand of the beach. Dogs are allowed at Young State Park but must be leashed during their stay. If you get hungry while visiting, you can always head over to the concession stand for a snack for both species!

Lake Street
Does your doggie consider themselves gourmands and know all the hot spots to eat? If you live off Lake Street in the downtown area of Boyne City, you have options. If you want to get drinks with your meal, you and Fido can head over to Boyne City Tap Room. Here, you can order delicious entrees like grilled Mahi Mahi tacos, loaded mac n' cheese, or the black bean veggie burger! The Tap Room has a happy hour with beer and cocktails too! If you're craving a burger, the best pet-friendly place to visit is Thick N' Juicy Diner, which is modeled after the 1950s. This burger joint serves up burgers like The Ring of Fire, The Fonz, and The Cali Burger! Fido will be begging for some fries as a treat!

Glenwood Beach
Does your dog's favorite pastime involve doggie paddling in the shallows at the beach? If you live near Glenwood beach, your pup can go paddling anytime! Leashed dogs are welcome here, and the shallow waters are great for the pooches. If your dog just has to get their collar off, you can also take them a little further east into the neighborhood to The Ridge Run Dog Park. Ridge Run has two plots of fenced-off land with designated play areas for big and small dogs to run and play with the leash off! The park's open all year long, so when it gets too cold to visit the beach, you can always head to Ridge Run for some wintertime exercise for Fido!

If your dog's lucky enough to live off of Front Street, you two can visit the Red Mesa Grill, which specializes in these diverse flavors usually found south of the border! Your "furritto" can hang out with you in the outside seating area while you chow down on entrees like the Tequila & Lime Marinated Fajitas, the 3 Grouper Taco Platter, or the Shrimp Chorizo Twister. There's live music and daily happy hours on top of the Tequila 180 Club, which samples 180 "dif-fur-rent" tequilas! Bone Appetit!

If you live off Water Street, you can walk over to the Parkside Grill & Treats, where you can get a sweet treat or a savory meal with Fido! Parkside serves 24 flavors of soft-serve ice cream in dipped waffle cones. Also on the sweet side are whiteouts that come in flavors like Banana Split, German Chocolate, and Mud Pie. If you're looking for something savory, Parkside also serves burgers, wraps, and baskets! Fido's got the hankering for "whatevfur" you'll order!
