Petoskey State Park is another great place to take your dog for an on-leash hike. This lakeside park is eight miles from Alanson, and it has two trails to hike on with your pup. Located 26 miles from Alanson, this dog park has two fenced sections: one for large dogs and one for small dogs that weigh less than 35 pounds. Both areas have big fields for pups to play in, and they have lots of benches for owners. If your dog gets messy while they’re playing, a doggy wash station is available. If your dog is thirsty, the park also has a doggy water fountain. Your dog will love playing and making new friends in this park!
