This park is 26 miles from Alanson, and it has a small dog-friendly beach located on scenic Lake Charlevoix. Plus, Young State Park has three trails to explore with your dog. If you want to go on a short hike along Lake Charlevoix, try the 1.50-mile White Birch Nature Trail. This residential Boyne City neighborhood is home to Ridge Run Dog Park, a pawsitively amazing off-leash area. Located 26 miles from Alanson, this dog park has two fenced sections: one for large dogs and one for small dogs that weigh less than 35 pounds. Both areas have big fields for pups to play in, and they have lots of benches for owners. If your dog gets messy while they’re playing, a doggy wash station is available. If your dog is thirsty, the park also has a doggy water fountain. Your dog will love playing and making new friends in this park!

When you’re in this Petoskey neighborhood, you won’t want to miss Bayfront Park. This park is 11 miles from Alanson, and it offers beautiful views of Little Traverse Bay.
