My name is Jake and I appreciate you checking out my bio page. I have grown up with pets since I was 4 years old. My first pet was a cat named Mickey. She was a great one that lived a long life to age 17. I also currently have a dog Max that I have had for 8 years now. My experience with animals has been quite a journey and love them very much since I could remember at a young age. Throughout High School and College, I have enjoyed working with several families in the community to offer pet sitting services. As a part time college student, I have a great deal of flexibility to work with your family’s needs and look forward to meeting you and your fur babies.

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Frankfort
Downtown
Downtown
Frankfort Mineral Springs Park is located in downtown, right in the middle of the shopping district. It has several playground structures as well as a hiking loop/bike trail that leads around the city. You'll have to keep your dog on a leash while you are here. There are many shops in the area where you can stop for a drink, but you will probably want to bring your own drinking water. There are pavilions here that can be rented from the city which often host local events. Whether you spend an hour or the whole day here, you and your pooch will pawsitively love it!
Betsie River Valley
Betsie River Valley
Betsie River Valley Campground hasn't changed much in a couple of decades, besides being updated, of course. Here, you can go camping your way, whether you want to pitch a tent or park your RV. You can choose from many hiking trails that vary in difficulty and terrain. You can bring your dog with you to explore or even to fly fish. The campground requires that you always keep your dog on a leash and never leave them at your campsite unless you are in an RV. You have to clean up after them as well, so don't forget the doggie waste bags.

When you need to satisfy your sweet tooth, Kilwins is just the place! You simply have to come try the handmade ice cream and chocolates. (None for Fido, though.) This sweet shop will let you bring your dog with you to treat yourself, but they are not allowed inside. You will want to bring a water dish for her as well as a leash. The outdoor tables are the perfect place to come and take in the sights of the city and the water while you snack. Make sure you bring a leash and some doggie waste bags with you.
Frankfort Harbor
Frankfort Harbor
Frankfort Harbor is a scenic spot to explore and chow down with your hound. Here, you'll find Cresent Bakery and Cafe, a truly a dog-friendly bakery. They have a whole list of delicious dog-friendly treats to choose from, including pupcakes and doggie donuts for your pup! You can sit at any of the outdoor tables and enjoy the view of the water and lighthouse as well. This is a barktastic place to come and indulge your sweet tooth. You really will love this place, but maybe not as much as your dog will -- after all, not everywhere has pupcakes! Bone Appetit!

The Hotel Frankfort is more than just a place to stay -- it also has a full-service restaurant with six outdoor tables where your dog can dine with you! The restaurant serves dishes made with seasonal ingredients so it can always offer the freshest fare possible. They are very strict about their policies, and if your dog doesn't behave, then you will have to get your meal to-go. Please always keep your dog on a leash while you dine. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the hotel rooms unless they are kennelled. You'll have to let the staff know you have a pet when you are making reservations because they have a limited number of pet rooms.
