“Reliable, caring animal lover❣️”
Hi, my name is Elise! I love all animals, and I had a dog since I was 6, but I had to say goodbye at the end of last summer. I’m not ready to adopt another dog yet, so I thought this would be a wonderful way to interact with dogs without adopting one myself! I’ve dogsat and done drop-in visits for cats and dogs of neighbors and friends all my life! I’m a detail oriented, caring, and responsible person. I will treat your pet with love and care ❤️ Looking forward to meeting you and your pet soon!

“Helping you to take care of your fur babies!!!”
Hi everyone! I am 26 years old and live in Sterling heights but that won’t stop me from traveling to meet and walk your pup! I am currently in dog grooming school and I love it! I have worked with animals for about 5 years now, and they are just my life. I have dogs right now, a cockapoo, an Italian greyhound and I am also fostering a pit bull who has a lot of anxiety issues so I can handle fearful dogs. I have a lot of time Outside of school that I would love to fill with meeting new pups!

The village of Romeo in Macomb County, Michigan may only be home to around 3,500 people, but this historic area has so much going for it! Romeo is a quiet escape from the nearby big cities, and many people describe it as having "storybook charm." Most of the homes in Romeo are orchards and farms, so most lots are quite spacious. While the houses may be spread out, Romeo is known to have strong community ties. Romeo has excellent schools in its district, as well as a beautiful Village Park and other amenities. Main Street is a unique area of town with interesting shops along the way, and you can walk the tree-lined streets in town with your dog on a leash.
Other dog-friendly activities are abundant near Romeo as well, so you've always got options when it comes to spending time with your dog. You can access the Macomb Orchard Trail in Utica, Michigan when you drive just ten miles south of Romeo. This is a 23.5-mile paved trail that's popular not only with dog walkers, but also with cyclists, skaters, and cross-country skiers. The path is one of 1,600 former railway lines that span across America that are now trails. On top of on-leash activities like this, you're also close to several off-leash activities when you're in Romeo!
Nearly 60,000 people live in the city of Royal Oak, Michigan and it's less than a half-hour drive from Romeo. One special place in town is known as Wagner Park, and this spacious city park has a designated off-leash area for dogs. Unlike many other off-leash areas, this space isn't fenced. Keep that in mind if your dog's recall skills aren't up to snuff. The rest of Wagner Park sits on nearly 14 acres of land, and it includes picnic areas, playgrounds, and a disc golf course. Your dog can hang out with you in other areas of Wagner Park when they're on a leash.
The Clinton Charter Township is part of metro Detroit, and the town's center is less than 20 miles from Romeo. This is where you'll find the Clinton Township Dog Park, and both you and your dog are sure to love it. This 1.5-acre off-leash park now includes a separate enclosure just for small dogs, in addition to an all dog area. The Clinton Township Dog Park has water fountains for dogs and humans, as well as seating, shade, and waste disposal supplies. To join the park, you are required to pay a small fee and provide proof of your dog's vaccinations. You'll notice how well-maintained this dog park is, and that's mostly thanks to membership fees going toward maintenance.
Yet another dog park less than 20 miles from Romeo can be found in the northwestern quadrant of the Orion Charter Township. The Orion Oaks Dog Park is one of the biggest in the area, and all 24 acres of it will be a delight for you and your dog to explore. There are different sections of the park, including separate enclosures for big and small dogs. If your dog is a swimmer, they'll also love that there's water access at Lake Sixteen just for dogs. Throughout the park, there are two trails, and you'll also find water fountains, picnic shelters, seating, and restrooms.
There's another dog park in Royal Oak, and this one can be found in the city's northeast corner, which is about a half-hour drive from Romeo. The Mark Twain Dog Park has a large space for dogs of all sizes to play, as well as a separate area just for small dogs in the back of the park. Like most parks in Illinois, you're required to purchase a membership to visit the off-leash park. The rest of Mark Twain Park has a variety of trails to explore, and these are free to use with your dog when they're on a leash.
Madison Heights is a city in Oakland County, Michigan that's also a suburb. The northeastern corner of the city is less than a half-hour drive from Romeo, and this area is where you'll find the Red Oaks Dog Park. This off-leash space makes up 5.2 acres, and there's also a small dog enclosure behind the main dog park. There's a picnic shelter so pet parents can rest comfortably in the shade, and there are also dog water fountains and waste disposal supplies. The streets surrounding the dog park are lighted for pet parents who visit at night, and there's also a rinsing station to clean up messy pups.
