Kirksville City Limit
Kirksville is home to McKinney Bark Park located at 2524 S Franklin Street. This fully fenced dog park gives dogs the chance to run and play leash-free. There is a separate fenced enclosure for the small dogs. The ground of the dog park is grass, and the area is mostly flat or slightly sloping. Water and doggie waste bags are supplied by the dog park, so all you need to bring is Fido's favorite toy. A couple of picnic tables give the human companions a place to sit and supervise their pups at play. A few mature trees inside the dog park give a bit of shade. This dog park is open from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.36

Chillicothe
Chillicothe is 75 miles southwest of Kirksville, but the drive is well worth it for the Tin Mapel Memorial Dog Park. This one-acre park, located within the larger Mills Park, is fully fenced so canine companions can romp safely off-leash. There is a separate area for small dogs. Water fountains designed for humans and dogs can be found at this dog park. The local technical school built the playground equipment in the dog park, which includes tunnels, teeter totters and other things for Fido to climb and train on. There are ten benches for the human companions. The ground is mostly grass, and a few mature trees give some shade. Don't forget to bring those doggie waste bags, though!24

Moberly MO
You'd drive anywhere for your dog, right? Then you'll have no problem taking the 58-mile trip down to Moberly, where you'll find Rothwell Park. This community park, which is also home to a fully fenced dog park, includes paved walking trails which you can explore with your leashed dog. You can let Fido off the leash in the dog park, where small dogs have their own separate enclosure for safer interactions. There are fire hydrants for drinking and cooling down, as well as picnic benches so the human companions have a place to supervise their dogs at play. A unique perk of this park is its campground, which has sites for tent and RV camping. Up to two dogs may stay with campers as long as they are on leash when outside of their camping unit.

This Columbia neighborhood is located 90 miles south of Kirksville, but has many activities to offer people and their dogs! Your pal will have a splashin' good time at Twin Lakes Dog Park, located at 2500 Chapel Hill Road. A word to the wise: this dog park isn't fenced.
