Town of Dover
One of the finest parks in Dover can be found in the Town of Dover neighborhood, making this an area that your pooch will want to keep coming back to. Mountain Park is quite a new park, which is why it is largely undeveloped. The park mostly features dense woodland, with plenty of vegetation for Fido to sniff about in. There are two hiking trails within the park that you and your pooch can follow, with the White Trail spanning the length of the park, and the Blue Trail taking you to a scenic lookout point at the top of a hill.

There are a few areas in the South Dover neighborhood that your pooch is going to love exploring. Begin at Crescent Field, a large field with picnic tables, benches and a water fountain. Directly adjacent to Dover is the Randolph neighborhood of Millbrook – Center Grove, and this is quite a green part of Randolph. Start your day at the 51 acre Hidden Valley Park, a hilly park that offers up stunning views of the Millbrook Valley. This is a passive park with a pond and nature trails, providing such an idyllic space in which to spend a few hours. For a larger park, take your pooch to the 172 acre Freedom Park. There are seven fields here, as well as several other sports facilities, a picnic pavilion, a large playground and a few walking trails.

One of the most scenic parks in the neighborhood is the Jackson Ave River Park, which the Rockaway River flows through.
