Town of Dover
One of the finest parks in Dover can be found in the Town of Dover neighborhood, making this an area that your pooch will want to keep coming back to. Mountain Park is quite a new park, which is why it is largely undeveloped. The park mostly features dense woodland, with plenty of vegetation for Fido to sniff about in. There are two hiking trails within the park that you and your pooch can follow, with the White Trail spanning the length of the park, and the Blue Trail taking you to a scenic lookout point at the top of a hill.

South Dover
There are a few areas in the South Dover neighborhood that your pooch is going to love exploring. Begin at Crescent Field, a large field with picnic tables, benches and a water fountain. Adjoining on to this field is Second Street Playground, an expansive neighborhood playground with a paved path that you and Fido can enjoy a stroll on. If your pup still needs some more exercise, head on over to Overlook Park. This is a passive neighborhood park featuring a dense wooded area, at the center of which is a grassy green clearing for you and your pooch to play on.

Millbrook – Center Grove
Directly adjacent to Dover is the Randolph neighborhood of Millbrook – Center Grove, and this is quite a green part of Randolph. Start your day at the 51 acre Hidden Valley Park, a hilly park that offers up stunning views of the Millbrook Valley. This is a passive park with a pond and nature trails, providing such an idyllic space in which to spend a few hours. For a larger park, take your pooch to the 172 acre Freedom Park. There are seven fields here, as well as several other sports facilities, a picnic pavilion, a large playground and a few walking trails.

Rockaway
The Rockaway neighborhood of Rockaway is right next to Dover, and is packed with pockets of greenery for you and Fido to check out. One of the most scenic parks in the neighborhood is the Jackson Ave River Park, which the Rockaway River flows through. This is a passive park that offers up a lengthy trail that follows the curves of the Rockaway River, providing gorgeous views for the entire journey. Not too far away from here is Lombardo Park, which is home to a large lake, a gazebo and a 0.7 mile walking path. Dogs are welcome in both parks, but don't forget to bring a lead, doggie bags and drinking water with you.

Sterling St
The neighborhood of Sterling St in Wharton is adjacent to Dover, meaning that you and Fido will not have to travel far to find even more parks to explore. Robert Street Park is also known as Concialdi Park, and is home to sports fields, a playground, a stone gazebo and a paved path that loops the park and runs in between the fields. Not too far away is the Wilfred Hocking Park, which is home to two more sports fields, as well as a paved path and some benches. When visiting either of these parks, don't forget to bring a lead, doggie bags and some drinking water for Fido with you.
