When Fido needs to run off some excess energy, head over to Hawkins Road Park off Union Hill Road. This park features a wide-open field where your pooch can run around and roll in the grass, or you can walk along the path and admire the trees and flowers. There are tennis and basketball courts available if you are out with the kids, or you and your pup can relax on a bench and watch the kids on the playground. You will need to bring your own doggie waste bags and water bottles, and be aware that there are no restrooms available at the park.

Marlboro Town Center
Two miles from downtown Morganville, Fido and his parents will love the Marlboro Dog Park in Marlboro Township. This is a well-kept park that provides doggie waste bags for puppy parents, and plenty of space to run and play. The pupular location is often a great place for your pooch to socialize with his furry friends, and you can relax on a bench and chat with neighbors. There is a loop around the park where you can walk some laps. Be prepared for muddy paws if it has recently rained. After having some fun at the park, stop by Burger Bros for a gourmet burger and handspun shake. There are pooch-friendly tables on the outdoor patio where you and Fido can enjoy your meal.

Old Bridge (Old Bridge CDP)
About four miles east of Morganville, the Old Bridge County Park in the town of Old Bridge is a wonderful area to take your pup hiking. There are easy well-maintained trails perfect for your pooch, and you can admire a variety of plants and animals along the way. During the fall, you will especially love the changing colors of the trees while you stroll with Fido. The park also features a ball field where your pup can run and play, and picnic tables to enjoy a picnic. Just ten miles east of Morganville in Lincroft, the Thompson Park Off-Leash Dog Area features over an acre of space for your pup to run and play. There are two separate spaces for smaller pups and larger dogs to have fun and socialize. While there is water available near the dog park, you will need to bring your own water bowls. Pups love running through the area sniffing the trees and plants, and pup parents can relax on a bench while their furry kids get rid of excess energy. Holmdel Park
Holmdel Park in nearby Holmdel is just eight miles northeast of Morganville, and features 227 acres of space for Fido and his family to run and play. There are wooded areas where you can take your pup exploring, and he will love sniffing all the trees and plants. There is a large playground where the kids can run around, or you can take a walk over to the historic farm that is still using methods from the past. During the winter, plan to go sledding and let Fido dig around in the snow.
