Bayshore Waterfront

Bayshore Waterfront

Bayshore Waterfront is home to some of the best parks in Port Monmouth, beginning with the Bayshore Waterfront Park. This 227 acre park boasts a 300 foot fishing pier, making it a popular spot for fishing, as well as several picnic areas and spectacular views of the New York City skyline. The park also provides access to the Bayshore Waterfront Park Beach, which dogs are allowed to enjoy throughout the year, so long as they are kept on a lead. Also in this neighborhood is the smaller Greeley Park, which is home to a basketball court, a playground, open grassy areas and patches of woodland.

Keansburg I

Keansburg I

Keansburg is right next to Port Monmouth, and is the place to go if you have a dog who loves the beach. This is where you will find Ideal Beach, which is known for its swimming, fishing and boating opportunities. This beautiful sandy beach welcomes dogs, so long as they are kept on a lead and owners clean up after them. If your pooch prefers parks to beaches, Forest Park is also in this neighborhood. This small community park is home to basketball courts and a playground, as well as a short paved walking path that is pawfect for a leisurely stroll with Fido.

Centerville

Centerville

Just over a mile from Port Monmouth is the Centerville neighborhood in Holmdel, which offers up some pawsome dog walks. The best can be found in Allocco Park, which stretches out for 11 acres and contains both open grassy spaces and forested areas. There are also sports facilities, picnic tables, a playground and walking trails here, making this a spot that Fido will absolutely love. In addition to all of these facilities, parts of the park are also preserved for their unique botanical features, and you will find a diverse range of plants and trees living here for Fido to sniff around in.

Leonardo Marina

Leonardo Marina

Less than two miles from Port Monmouth is Leonardo Marina in Leonardo, which is known for its picturesque waterfront views. Not only that, but this neighborhood also boasts a couple of pawtastic parks, such as the Bill Kunkel Memorial Park. This park boasts a few different sports facilities, as well as a playground and a patch of woodland that Fido will love. For another fun walk, take a stroll over to the Center Avenue Park. Although this is quite a small park, its grassy field makes for a great walk, and there are also a couple of dirt trails here that you and Fido can follow.

Oak Knolls

Oak Knolls

Oak Knolls in Middletown is less than two miles from Port Monmouth, and is a neighborhood that your pooch will love. Begin by taking a walk around Tindall Park, where you will find several playing fields, basketball and tennis courts, and a large playground, as well as a paved walkway to take you and Fido around the park. If your pup still needs more exercise, Oak Knoll also provides access to Bicentennial Park. This is quite a large, forested park, with plenty of green areas for your pooch to explore, as well as a small pond in one corner of the park.
