Dog Walking in Atlantic Highlands

Sat on the banks of Sandy Hook Bay, Atlantic Highlands is a historic, Victorian town that boasts spectacular waterfront views. With walking trails and parks to explore, as well as a highly rated animal hospital, you and your pooch will have so much fun in Atlantic Highlands.

For dogs who enjoy long distance walks, the Henry Hudson Trail cuts through Atlantic Highlands. The trail stretches out for 24 miles in total, and is paved the entire way, following along an old railroad track. The majority of the trail is lined with trees, but offers glimpses of wetlands, woodlands and streams along the way.

Another beautiful spot to visit is Popamora Point. This is where you will find a 1600 foot sandy beach front by the bay, with a dramatic backdrop of dunes, cliffs and wetlands.

If you and Fido would prefer more of an urban park, there are quite a few to choose from. Harbor Park not only boasts views of the harbor, but also a playground, tennis courts, and paved path, while Hillside Park is home to sports facilities and large open green spaces.

With so many pawriffic walks to be had, your pooch will no doubt keep you busy when in Atlantic Highlands.
