Griffin Street

This Monmouth Beach neighborhood is home to Griffin Street Memorial Park, a furrific place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This park is home to a jogging path that goes around the park’s sports fields and past the scenic Manhasset Creek. After your walk, you can relax in Griffin Street Memorial Park’s beautiful gazebo and enjoy views of the creek. Bring doggy bags and water with you, and have a great time at this park. If you want to grab a bite to eat after the park, head to My Kitchen Witch. This café serves witch-themed dishes, like "Glinda the Green Witch" avocado toast and "Wicked Good Granola". Dogs are welcome to join you at this magical café’s outdoor tables.

Ocean Avenue

If you’re looking for a great beach to go to with your pup, try Asbury Park Dog Beach. Located eight miles from Monmouth Beach, this furrific beach allows dogs off-leash. From September 16^th to May 15^th, dogs are welcome anytime. During the summer season, pups can only be on the beach between 6:00 pm and 8:30 am. If you’d like to get a bite to eat with your dog after the beach, head to Kim Marie’s Eat n’ Drink Away. This casual restaurant allows pups at their outdoor tables, and they have a doggy menu with items like dog-friendly Shepherd’s pie and chicken and rice.

Port-au-Peck

When you’re in Port-au-Peck, you won’t want to miss Wolf Hill Dog Park. This four-acre park is four miles from Monmouth Beach, and it has two fenced sections: one for large dogs and one for small dogs that weigh less than 35 pounds. Both feature huge fields that are perfect for running or games of catch, and there are also plenty of shade structures to keep you and your dog cool on hot days. Doggy waste bags are available in the park, but you’ll want to bring water with you. Your dog will always have fun playing at this park!

Winston Park

If you want to take your dog on a pawsitively amazing hike, head to Manasquan Reservoir. Located 19 miles from Monmouth Beach, this preserve allows dogs on-leash. If you’d like to go on a long hike, hop on the 5.1-mile Perimeter Trail, which takes you on a loop around the reservoir. If you’d rather go on a shorter hike that still provides great views of the reservoir, try the 1.1-mile Cove Nature Trail. Bring water and doggy bags with you, and have fun hiking here. After the park, treat your dog to a new toy or a snack from Pet Asylum. This local pet shop sells natural and holistic treats your dog is sure to love.

Morganville

Morganville is home to another furrific off-leash area, Marlboro Dog Park. This dog park is 20 miles from Monmouth Beach, and it has one fenced area where dogs of all sizes can run and play. Make sure your mutt is comfortable making new pooch pals of all sizes! If your pup gets thirsty while they’re playing, a doggy water fountain is available. After the park, continue your fun day out with lunch at Burger Bros. This casual burger joint welcomes dogs at their seven outdoor tables. To eat, they offer gourmet beef and seafood burgers, fries with a wide variety of toppings, wings, and much more. Bone Appetit!
