I am a long time pet lover and owner. I have had puppies (no matter their age they are all puppies to me) since I was little. As I grew up I had kitties, bunnies and even hamsters. There is just something special about pets and their unconditional love. They just give me the warm fuzzies. Most of my pups have come from the animal shelter or no kill animal groups. Puppies have been a huge part of my life and if I could share in your puppies life, if only to go on a walk. Then lets go for it!

Dog Walking in Bernalillo

Bernalillo is a town of more than 9,000 people in Sandoval County, New Mexico. Bernalillo became a "wine town" in the 1600s, and to this day, the community honors that heritage with the yearly New Mexico Wine Festival, which is just one among many events that take place there. The strong community ties in Bernalillo make it a wonderful place to raise a family, and the mild climate is pawfect for spending time outside with your pets. Bernalillo is on the outskirts of Albuquerque, and many residents travel there each day for work. There are plenty of opportunities within Bernalillo, however, as there is a variety of restaurants, shops, and other businesses in town.

Among the restaurants in town is Pizza 9, and not only is their pizza great, but they also have four outdoor pet-friendly tables so Fido can join you for a slice. This casual eatery has all sorts of options on their menu that range from pizzas to salads, sandwiches, pasta, wings, and dessert. There isn't an off-leash dog park in Bernalillo, but after your meal at Bernalillo with your pooch, the two of you can head off to visit one of many dog-friendly parks nearby.

It takes about half an hour to get here from Bernalillo, and the dog park is in the South 25 Business Park area of town. One of the things that makes this dog park a local favorite is that it showcases the natural New Mexican landscape and your dog will have so much fun exploring it. If you'd like to go on a leashed walk with your dog, there is also a trail outside of the off-leash park.
