Gallup City Center
Located in the center of town near Father Dunston Park, the City of Gallup Dog Park is an awesome location to spend time with Fido. The park is separated into two areas, one for small pups and one for larger dogs. There is a walking path around the park where pup parents can get in some laps while the pooch shows off his skills on the agility equipment. After getting some exercise, relax on one of the benches and let Fido socialize with other pups in the park. Poop bags are provided and there is water available to make sure your pooch stays hydrated.

Northside
Bubany Park is located off North 2nd Street and offers a wonderful area to walk Fido. You can stroll along the walkways and soak in the sunshine while your pup sniffs all the plants. The kids will enjoy the playground and the full basketball court, or if you need a rest, find one of the shaded picnic tables and relax with a cold bottle of water. There are convenient restrooms, but you will need to bring your own doggie waste bags for your pooch. A couple minutes north of the park, you can enjoy some Italian food and ice cream at Fratellie’s. The friendly staff will bring your pup a bowl of cool water while you eat at the outdoor tables.

Mentmore
If you are searching for a pooch-friendly area to spend the night in Gallup, check out the Mentmore area. Budget Inn will allow pups of any size for a small additional fee. You can also check out Motel 6 or La Quinta Inn & Suites where up to two pets are welcome for no additional fees. Close to the hotels, you will also find a great neighborhood park. Hadden Park offers a perfect spot to walk Fido and a fun play area for the kids. Get some friends and their furry companions together for a game of horseshoes and enjoy a picnic near the cookout grills.

Mossman Park is located off Julie Drive in the eastern section of Gallup. If your pup needs to run off some excess energy, take a walk to this quaint neighborhood area where your pooch can frolic in the grass and spend some time smelling the trees. The kids will also enjoy running around on the playground. This park is well-maintained, so make sure to bring your own waste bags and clean up after your pup. If you are looking for a unique place to stay, El Capitan Motel allows pups in their pet-friendly rooms for an additional fee.
Rehoboth
Situated right off Interstate 40 east of Gallup, between Church Rock St and Ciniza Drive, Indian Hills Playground is the perfect destination to stop with your pooch and stretch your legs after a long car ride. Both two and four-legged children will enjoy the open spaces, and there is an amazing playground where the children can get rid of excess energy. Your pup will love walking around sniffing the plants while you admire the mountains in the background. If you need a pooch-friendly place to spend the night, Sleep Inn allows up to two pets for an additional fee. You can also check out Fairfield Inn & Suites or Holiday Inn Express where pups are also welcome.
