Surrounded by a multitude of city parks, Las Cruces is the perfect town for Fido and his family. The city is located less than an hour north of El Paso, Texas, and is near the White Sands National Monument. Pups and their parents often plan weekend adventures at the Organ Mountain National Recreation Area. The Monument is in the park and offers a wonderful place to walk your pooch and admire history. When hiking along the paths here, you will see amazing scenery and Fido will enjoy sniffing all the plants and trees. You will want to keep your pup on a leash while hiking since there is a variety of wildlife throughout the area.

Another fun destination for pups and parents is the Las Cruces KOA. This campground features spots for large RV’s, tents, and cabins. Your pooch will enjoy walking around the campground or socializing with other pups in the large fenced dog park. Pup parents can sit on the benches and watch their furry family members play, and waste bags are provided.

Going out for dinner with the family is even more fun when you can bring Fido. Farley’s Food, Fun, and Pub is a casual eatery that allows your pooch to join you at one of their twelve pooch-friendly outdoor tables. You can order pizza, burgers, or a variety of other dishes and enjoy your time chatting and spending quality time with your fur baby.

When your pooch needs his annual check-up or if he’s not feeling well, there are eleven veterinarian clinics in Las Cruces. You may also want to check out Pet’s Barn on Valley Drive where you can purchase healthy pup food and pawsome toys and treats.

If you and your pooch love adventure and spending time in the great outdoors, Las Cruces is an exciting city for the whole family.
