Placitas
Placitas contains a single neighborhood, simply known as Placitas, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t adventure to be had. The Sandia Man Cave is a great spot to take your dog to for a fun day exploring and hiking. To get to the cave, you need to hike about 10-15 minutes. The cave is easy to access by a spiral staircase, but make sure to bring a flashlight if you plan on going deeper into the cave since there isn’t much light. When inside the cave, your dog needs to stay on leash for his own safety. Make sure to bring plenty of water for everyone, and locals warn that the road leading to the cave is a bumpy drive so be prepared. Known for their hand-crafted dry table wines using their locally grown apricots, peaches, plums, cherries, and other fruit, Anasazi Fields Winery welcomes your dog to enjoy their outdoor patio with you.
