Dog Areas in Apex, NV

Apex is a small town just off of highway 15 in southern Nevada There isn’t too much to do here in terms of fun for the whole family. However, in the nearby city of Las Vegas, there are tons of things to do with everyone, including your canine companion. A restaurant to check out is Famous Dave’s Barbeque in northern Las Vegas. This casual eatery offers salads, ribs, burgers, and much more. They welcome dogs at any of their outdoor tables.

Desert Breeze Dog Park is located in South West Las Vegas, in the Spring Valley area. The park is fully fenced in and has separated areas: one for the larger dogs and another for the smaller dogs. These areas are open from 6 AM to 11 PM, and parking is located on the south side of the park. While walking around the park outside of the fenced in areas, your pal will need to be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. There are also doggy bags and a water hose available. Tables, benches, and chairs are everywhere and they are properly shaded.

If you’re in the mood for traditional American food, check out Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar. This establishment is located in the Festival Plaza in Las Vegas. They offer anything from burgers to pizza and even have a doggy menu! The portions vary depending on the size of the dog, but there is always plenty for later. The large patio area is cozy and dog friendly and they also offer heaters for colder nights.

Looking for a hike? Red Rock Canyon is west of Las Vegas and is a national conservation area. Pets are allowed on trails, as long as they’re on no longer than a 6 foot leash. Doggie waste bags are available along the trail, but you’ll need to bring some water.

If coffee is what you need then try Coffee Pub. This caffeinated hub is located just south of the center of Las Vegas. This Fido-friendly coffee house serves breakfast and lunch items like smoothies, omelettes, and breakfast sandwiches. They also have shaded patio seating. Outside in the patio area is where Fido can join you and watch people as they are passing by.

Amenities include shade shelters, shaded trees, benches, two areas for large and small dogs, and water spigots for your pooch to hydrate afterwards. The local PetSmart not only provides food, treats and toys, it also offers professional grooming for all dog breeds, sizes and age!

Children’s Memorial Dog Park is a quaint off-leash, fenced-in dog park that has a separate enclosure for small dogs and one for large pups to ensure everyone has a good time!
