Head over to the White School Park and Stephanie Lynn Craig Park Complex and walk along the trails in the area. Combined, the recreational facilities offer 20 acres of fields, trails, and family areas. From these parks, you and your pooch will be able to access the Whitney Mesa Nature Preserve. The Midway neighborhood borders Whitney to the south and offers a fantastic area for you and Fido to get some exercise. Russel Road Recreation Center has green space and a walking course. Bring your pooch on a leash up to 6 feet long and go for a hike in the 27-acre park. Don't forget to bring along some water so your pup doesn't suffer on those dog days of summer. After you and Fido get some fresh air and work up a nice appetite, head over to In-N-Out Burger on Sunset Road to grab some grub. Not to be confused with Pitman neighborhood on the other side of Las Vegas, the neighborhood of Pittmann offers pups and their owners some pupful recreational opportunities.
