Fido will love visiting Highland Mills since it is filled with numerous parks that he can explore with you, plus a great restaurant where the two of you can sit down and relax. Home to five veterinarians, Fido will not only love visiting Highland Mills, but can feel safe doing so. 

The Richiesto and Pizzeria is a great dog friendly restaurant that you and your pup can visit together if you get a rumble in your tummy. With an extensive menu, you have lots of choices here, like chicken Parmesan and paninis. After a delicious meal, visit the Early Reservoir Park for a good walk. The park has a great walking trail that you and your pup can explore, and the park features a great pond in the middle.

The Long Path Trail is perfect for the more adventurous dog. The trail is rated as difficult, and being 7-miles long, it can take quite a while to finish. If you and your pooch want to brave the trail, you can even set up camp along it and spend the night under the stars. Although the trail is long, it is still perfect for any skill level of hiker since there are no hills you have to climb. The end of the trail will take you past a nice wooded area that your pup will love to explore.

The hike will grant you and your pup a little solitude, and there's a pond where the two of you can stop for some water along the way. The trail route is a loop and is accessible year-around, plus pretty simple for just about any hiker since the elevation gain is only 590-feet. Make sure to keep your pup on a leash when you are on the trail.
