Montgomery is 6 miles west of Blooming Grove. Montgomery has some fun activities for a dog and his person to do. Thomas Bull Memorial Dog Park is located at 211 State Route 416. This dog park is a fully fenced area for off-leash freedom to exercise and socialize with furry pals. The 1.5 acres of grass has a separate space for the smaller dogs. The dog park has some mature trees which provide dogs and their human companions with some shade. There are water fountains designed for both pups and their people. Benches give a comfortable vantage point for people to supervise their pup. The main park has places for dog and person to walk together on leash, and the nearby lake makes for a scenic stroll.

Cornwall
Cornwall is 10 miles west of Blooming Grove. Cornwall has some tail waggin’ good activities for dogs to do. Cornwall Bark Park is located at 15 Muser Drive. This dog park has two acres for dogs to exercise and get to know a few new wet-nosed friends. The landscape of this dog park is complete with trees and grass. Small dogs have their own patch of ground away from the larger ones. A few plastic chairs give the human companions a place to rest and watch over their four-legged friend. The dog park does not have running water on-site. A decent community spirit makes it commonplace for visitors to share a jug of water or leave a jug behind for those who didn’t plan ahead.

Beacon is 19 miles east of Blooming Grove. Beacon is home to Beacon Dog Park. This dog park is located at 195 Robert Cahill Drive. This fully fenced, off-leash dog park gives dogs an opportunity to socialize and play with their furry pals. The one-acre dog park is a grassy area with a separate enclosure for small dogs. There are benches for human companions to relax while their pups run. This dog park is open to members only who pay an annual fee. No visitors are permitted. Hiking trails are close by the dog park for some added on-leash exercise. The dog park is open from dawn to dusk.

Wantage, New Jersey is 29 miles west of Blooming Grove, New York. Wantage has many activities for a pup and its person to do. Wantage Dog Park is located at 128 County Road 628. Wantage is an 8-acre dog park with 4 acres of fully fenced enclosure. There is a separate area for small dogs. This dog park lets dogs romp in lush grass amid a scenic backdrop of forest and hillsides. There are numerous pieces of agility equipment that give dogs some opportunities for training or just more variety in their exercise. Water is available on-site, and doggie waste bags are in plentiful supply. This dog park is free, and open to the public from dawn to dusk.

Monroe is 10 miles south of Blooming Grove. Monroe has plenty of things for a person and their dog to see and do. Smith’s Clove Dog Park is located at 133 Spring Street. This dog park has something every dog can wag a tail over -- a chance to run and socialize leash free with some furry pals. Small dogs have their own separate area to play. The ground of the dog park is covered with ground stone. Only residents of the the City of Monroe are allowed to use the dog park. After a long day of play, people and their pups can dine together at La Vera Cucina located at 43 Hillside Terrace. This restaurant offers dog-friendly dining on outdoor tables. Also, Big Mike’s Pizza and Pasta serves up some Italian cuisine at its dog-friendly outdoor tables.
