Tivoli
Tivoli is a small village in the northernmost part of Dutchess County. The village is a part of the Hudson River Historic District, and offers some historic entertainment in the downtown area. Tivoli Bays Wildlife Management Area, just south of the village center, is an extensive marshland encompassing about 2 miles along the shore of the river between Tivoli and Barrytown. This is a perfect place to stroll and hike with Fido! Explore the numerous ravines and ridges, the shoreline, and the furrific Hudson River Greenway Land Trail. Be on the lookout for poison ivy along your walk, or you and your buddy will be scratching all the way home!

Rhinebeck Village
Rhinebeck Village is a community within the town of Rhinebeck. Located less than 15 minutes south of Red Hook, this is a pawesome place to dine out with Fido before embarking on an adventure. The central area, at the intersection of Mill Street and West Market Street, buzzes with an abundance of laid-back eateries with outdoor tables where you can reward your hound with a treat. Love Italian fare? Gigi Trattoria & Catering is a chic spot for travelers serving seasonal Italian dishes. More into American cuisine? Terrapin Restaurant is a New American joint set in a former church building. Don’t hesitate to ask for a free bowl of water for your mutt!

Burger Hill
Burger Hill is a scenic area in southeast Rhinebeck. Dayton Grant Park at Burger Hill has earned a reputation among travelers and hikers! If you love spending your weekends enjoying the great outdoors with your family, this will be your new favorite place! Furry family members are, of course, welcome also. Bring some snacks and have a picnic, or explore the vast woodlands searching for birds and other local inhabitants. The trails here are just pawesome for beginners, at just a mile long with a couple of inclines. There's only one rule: pooches should stay on-leash at all times. (Make that two rules -- you'll also need to clean up after your pup!)

Kingston Point
Kingston Point is a diverse place on the western bank of the Hudson River in Kingston, NY. It's located just 20 miles from Red Hook, and it offers a playground for every member of the family! Check out Kingston Point Park, home to Kingston Point Rail Trail and a dog park. The fenced doggy spot is amazing for playing and running off-leash. There are two sections for small and large pups, so your pooch will easily find the right company. If you decide to hike on the trail, leash your pup! Kingston Point Beach is also located here, but it's unclear whether dogs are allowed to play there. We're sure Fido will get paw-lenty of exercise at the dog park, anyway!

Woodstock Town Center
Woodstock is a pet-friendly community in the northern part of Ulster County, NY, northwest of Kingston. The town center is a cool place to sniff out a few adventures with your four-legged friend! Save the extensive shopping and commercial area in the heart of town for your next visit, and explore Andy Lee Field, an expansive open area with lots of grass and occasional open-air festivals. On the opposite side of town, you'll find the Comeau Property, 76 acres of woods and meadows right in the center of Woodstock! Get the leash ready and prepare for a snifftastic adventure along the Saw Kill stream for miles!
