Bring some snacks and have a picnic, or explore the vast woodlands searching for birds and other local inhabitants. The trails here are just pawesome for beginners, at just a mile long with a couple of inclines. There's only one rule: pooches should stay on-leash at all times. (Make that two rules -- you'll also need to clean up after your pup!)

Kingston Point is a diverse place on the western bank of the Hudson River in Kingston, NY. It's located just 20 miles from Red Hook, and it offers a playground for every member of the family! Check out Kingston Point Park, home to Kingston Point Rail Trail and a dog park. The fenced doggy spot is amazing for playing and running off-leash. There are two sections for small and large pups, so your pooch will easily find the right company. If you decide to hike on the trail, leash your pup! Kingston Point Beach is also located here, but it's unclear whether dogs are allowed to play there. We're sure Fido will get paw-lenty of exercise at the dog park, anyway!
