Rhinebeck is a small, historic town up near the Catskills in the expansive state of New York. Nestled right on the Hudson River, the outskirts of the city are flush with forestland and beautiful sights. Toward the center of town, you will find more urban cityscapes with charming storefronts and plenty of arts and culture. Fido can join you as long as he is properly registered and safely leashed.

Pet parents can feel safe knowing there are multiple licensed and experienced veterinarians in the area. In case of emergencies, you'll find an animal hospital located in the western part of town. The local dog park, Rhinebeck Red Hook Dog Park, is shared with the neighboring town and offers an off-leash area for your pets. Residents and non-residents will have to pay a fee in order to access the park.

Begging for some bites? The pet-friendly patio at The Tasting Room at Gendron Catering has excellent eats that you can enjoy while Fido drools at your feet. If you prefer to take in the unadulterated beauty of nature, take Fido for a walk by the lakeside – just be sure to clean up after him.
