Every pup needs their daily exercise, so be sure to visit Dutchess Lake Park when you are in Brinckerhoff! Here you will find plenty of open green grass where you and your pooch can have fun in the sun. There is enough space to play fetch with their favorite toys, as well as roll and roam! There is also a small playground for the kids, as well as fishing oppawtunities at the lake. To satisfy a growling stomach, head to Seasons II. This is a casual restaurant where you can enjoy a sandwich, burger or burrito while your furry friend enjoys a nap with you at one of the 10 dog friendly tables outside!

Only 2.3 miles south west of Brinckerhoff, you will find the furiendly village of Fishkill. This is a great place to bring your pooch for a day out with plenty of dog friendly eateries you can visit; now you don’t have to leave your pup at home! If you like seafood, don’t forget to stop by Sapore. Here you can enjoy some tasty dishes and relax on the patio with your four-legged friend. For a tasty lunch, you can also stop by the Hudson Sandwich Company. Here you can choose from sandwiches, burgers, wraps and much more. Your pup will love to join you at one of the two outdoor tables for some fresh air!

If you travel only 2.3 miles south west of Brinckerhoff, you will reach this neighborhood in Fishkill. This is a pawsome place to visit with your pooch since it is home to the Sarah Taylor Park! This is beautiful green spot where you can exercise on the walking track to burn some excitable energy. There are also picnic tables to relax and enjoy a treat, as well as the oppawtunity to fish and enjoy the views of Fishkill Creek. If you get hungry, you can head to the Cold Stone Creamery. Here you can grab a refreshing ice cream or shake, and your furry friend is welcome to join you at one of the outdoor tables. Just be sure there is someone to watch your pup since there isn’t table service here.

For an adventure with your furry friend, head 3.9 miles west of Brinckerhoff to Wappingers Falls. Here you will find the Baxtertown Woods Wildlife Conservation Area, which is a pawsome place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city! If your pup likes to ruff it, he will love to explore the sniff-tastic trails through the forest. Plus, there is plenty of wildlife you can admire here and there is the oppawtunity to hunt if that is one of your sporting interests. This means that it may be best to keep your pooch on their leash when visiting Baxtertown Woods Wildlife Conservation Area.
Hopewell Junction Town Center
Jump in the car and head 2.9 miles northeast to Hopewell Junction. This is a puptastic place to go to for some delicious dog friendly eateries! Here you will find the Smoke Haus and Deli where you can tuck into some barbeque food and smoked meat. Plus, there are plenty of tables outdoors where furry friends can sit by your side and watch the world go by! Another pawsome place to go is Joe’s Dairy Bar. Here you can enjoy tasty burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches, or even a sweet treat, as well as hang out at the outdoor dog friendly tables with your pooch.
