Watervliet
Hudson Shores Park in the self-named Watervliet neighborhood of Watervliet is a must-see in the area. This park has amazing views of the Hudson, as you may have guessed. It's popular with fisherman and kyakers, so you know there's always going to be something to catch your dog's eye! This busy park is great for exercising your dog. With so much to water and sniff, even an energetic dog will get tuckered out soon. You can also head to Watervliet Veterans Memorial Park. This park features statuary and examples of war vehicles. Leashed dogs are allowed provided respect is shown to the area and what it represents.36

Hillside
Clinton Park is the place to take the whole pack. There's a playground for children and sports fields for people looking to break a sweat. Sadly, outside of the movies, dogs can't play basketball. Your pup won't mind being left out if you take him to explore the large, open green space. Whether your dog likes leashed romps through the grass, sniffing out squirrel trails, or simply enjoying fresh air, there's something at this park for him. The park has a few short paths, but nothing that really amounts to a walking trail. If you want to start a cookout, though, you'll have lots of room!24

Ridgefield
Watervliet's Ridgefield neighborhood is home to Brotherhood Park. This residential park is largely dedicated to one thing: the baseball diamond. This spot is typically teaming with teams, from little league to adult sign up. If you're looking for a quick and convenient place to walk your dog, this is it. Pop in headphones and lead your pup around the ball field. There's plenty of room, so walking laps will get the job done sooner rather than later. There's also a small grass section outside the baseball field for relaxing, eating, or just rolling around. Your dog should be leashed in Brotherhood Park.12

South Watervliet
The 7th Street Park is a curious park split by the road. One side of it is completely dedicated to a baseball field. If you just want to walk laps until your dog is tired enough to be good all day without you home, this is the side to go to. Walk laps, watch someone play ball, and have a blast. If you want to entertain the kids or have a picnic, go to the other side. The longer, skinnier side of 7th Street Park has a playground and a few green meadows, in addition to a horseshoe pit! With something for everyone, it's no surprise this park is often very busy!
