A.W. Marion State Park
Just 10 minutes outside of Circleville is the beautiful A.W. Marion State Park. The park sits on 209 acres with a sparkling lake, offering visitors a serene destination for a day trip or an overnight stay. Pack the tent and sleeping bag and spend the night with Fido for a more rugged adventure, but make sure he stays safely secured! Check out the short Squawroot Trail or explore the 5-mile Hargus Trail for a more scenic experience! On a hot summer day, take Fido to the off-leash dog swim area, where they can frolic in the lake alongside other four-legged adventurers.36

Downtown Circleville
Just off N. Court St and E. Main St is the start of downtown Circleville. Here, you’ll find Circleville Plaza, the yearly Pumpkin Show, and pet-friendly accommodations like The Mitchell House B&B. A small little neighborhood just east of Downtown Circleville is Ohio Street, where a quaint row of house lines the street. The area has lots of lush green space surrounding it, eventually making way to Barthelmas Park, located in the southeast corner of the city. The small park is only 35 acres, and you must keep your pets leashed, but it can make for a fun pit stop during your drive home. This popular park attracts visitors from all over Circleville, so you are sure to run into friendly neighbors here!
