Northern Columbus
If you want to enjoy a nice, relaxing walk with your pooch, visit this neighborhood, which is home to Whetstone Park. You will need to grab your pup’s leash because dogs are required to stay on their leash here. This park does not have any type of fencing. The only area that your pooch can be off-leash is at a small area near a stream, which allows them to play in the water. The area is mostly grassy, and there is shade provided by the many trees. You will need to bring water for you and your pup, along with waste disposal bags for clean up. You and your pup will enjoy the calm atmosphere of this park.

South West Columbus
This is a great place for you to bond with your pooch while walking on The Lower Sciotio Greenway Trail. This is a former rail line that is now part of Rails-To-Trails. The trail is 10.5 miles long. and the walkway is asphalt. There are trees that provide shade along the way for you and your pooch. Grab your pup’s leash, which is required, and be sure to wear your walking shoes. You will need to bring water for you and your pup, but you’ll definitely enjoy the scenery. North Western Columbus
If you are looking to bond with your pup, this is the neighborhood to visit. It is about 17 miles from Harrisburg, Ohio and is home to the Goodale Park. This Dog Park requires that you keep your pup on a leash. The park is separated into two sections: one for larger dogs and the other for smaller breeds. There is shade and seating for you and your pup. The surface of the park is mostly dirt, so when it rains, it can get muddy. The park does offer hoses so you can wash off your dog before you leave. There is a water fountain available for when your pup gets thirsty, and there are also waste disposal stations throughout the park.

This dog-friendly neighborhood has a great park for you and your pup to visit, called the Scioto Audubon Dog Park. This dog park has everything you need for a grand adventure with your pup. This is an off-leash dog park that is fenced in, with 2 areas for different-sized dogs. There are benches and a few trees scattered throughout the park for shade. The surface is grassy, and your pup will love playing on the agility equipment. The park also offers a sand pit to dig in and water for when your canine friend gets thirsty. All you need to bring along is doggy waste bags for clean-up. Grab your pup and come to this park for a paw-some time.

East Columbus
This dog-friendly neighborhood is located about 17 miles from Harrisburg, Ohio and is home to the Big Walnut Dog Park. This is a fully fenced-in, off-leash dog park. There are plenty of trees for shade, and there are several benches to sit on. Your canine pal will have a blast running through the grass and making new friends. If your pup likes to swim, there is a pond for him to make a splash in. Make sure to bring some waste bags with you for clean-up, and don’t forget water for when you and your pooch get thirsty.
