“I treat every dog like my own!”

I’ve been dog walking for a year and a half, I have been dog sitting and boarding for several years. I own 3 dogs myself and have always loved animals. I especially love the bully breeds and big dogs. The dogs that are more difficult are my speciality! Every dog I walk is treated like my own and I take the time to get to know their personality by the time our walk is over. I love my job walking your dogs and can guarantee a worn out pup when we get back!

“Walking your best friend is an honor.”

Hello! I have worked with shelter dogs my whole life and I am very comfortable with their individual quirks. I currently have 3 roommates: a mixed breed, a 3-legged shar-pei, and a once homeless street beagle and they are my best friends. I would do anything for them and I promise to treat yours with the same respect. I am quite familiar with the importance that dogs provide the family and I promise to give your fur baby the same love I give my own. I can’t wait to meet your pup!

“Pup need a potty break? I got this!”

Hi, it's Tracy, your friendly WAG! walker here. I’ve been walking with WAG! for 3 years now. It’s definitely the most fun/rewarding job ever! I love meeting all the new dogs and taking them on an adventure (that’s dog speak for walk...lol). I also volunteer walking dogs at Columbus Humane (over 10 years) and that's where I adopted my two Chihuahuas.  I know you cherish your fur babies and I will take care of them as if they were my own. I can’t wait to meet and get to know them!

Hi, my name is Sue and there is nothing more I enjoy than spending time with dogs! When I was little I brought home all the homeless dogs, as an adult I continue with that behavior. I have spent the last 30+ years owning dogs and the last 20 years involved with animals rescue through breed specific organizations and Humane Societies. I have fostered and rehabilitated many dogs of numerous breeds and personalities, some who loved everyone, some who could not trust anyone. Each dog I meet I recognize as an individual. My walks focus on what they enjoy and what you request. I am fortunate to be able to finally do what I love, provide superb care and love to your dog while you are at work or away! Thank you.

“meeting your dog is the highlight of my day :)”

I live in Clintonville with my spouse, two dogs, and three cats, and hope one day to have a dog and cat rescue! I do microbiology research at OSU and my erratic lab schedule allows me to walk the many wonderful Wag pups across Columbus. I care for your dogs (and cats!) as I do my own, and I aim to keep your pets happy and hydrated, and you well-informed with detailed reports and cute pictures. At this time by default I will wear a mask when inside your home and/or snuggling with your dog.

Dog Walking in Harrisburg

Harrisburg is a small central-Ohio village of about 300 full-time residents. Although the community doesn’t have much to offer dog owners, its proximity to Columbus makes it a great area that’s still away from the noise of the city. Harrisburg also has over twenty vet clinics within twenty miles of town center, making it a safe place for pups.

One of the closest amenities is the Walnut Woods Dog Park just twenty miles east in Groveport, OH. This four-acre play area is part of the Walnut Woods Park and includes two separate areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. The park is well-maintained and complete with agility equipment and a swimming pond. For a sweet treat after an afternoon of playing, head on over to Cold Stone Creamery in Groveport. You and your pooch can enjoy ice cream, shakes, or smoothies at one of the outdoor tables.

Another option is the Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park, which can be found fifteen minutes north in Galloway, OH. This massive nature area includes more than 7,000 acres of prairies, forest, and wetlands. There are nearly ten total miles of dog-friendly trails, and pups are also welcome in the picnic areas. Be sure to check out the herds of free-range bison which are enclosed in two fenced pastures.

If you want to enjoy a nice, relaxing walk with your pooch, visit this neighborhood, which is home to Whetstone Park. You will need to grab your pup’s leash because dogs are required to stay on their leash here. This park does not have any type of fencing. The only area that your pooch can be off-leash is at a small area near a stream, which allows them to play in the water.  The area is mostly grassy, and there is shade provided by the many trees. You will need to bring water for you and your pup, along with waste disposal bags for clean up. You and your pup will enjoy the calm atmosphere of this park.

The trail is 10.5 miles long. and the walkway is asphalt. There are trees that provide shade along the way for you and your pooch. Grab your pup’s leash, which is required, and be sure to wear your walking shoes. You will need to bring water for you and your pup, but you’ll definitely enjoy the scenery.
