Harrison Lake
Harrison Lake State Park is about 15 minutes from West Unity and well worth the short drive with your pup! The area was once covered by Lake Erie until the waters receded and formed the Harrison Lake Region and the Great Black Swamp. The area has been settled sparsely over the years. It was home once to both Native Americans and settlers who were new to the area and looking for a way to get back and forth from Lake Erie. The area was developed in 1941 for recreational use.
