Tenmile
Take your pup out on an amazing hike along the John Dellenback Dunes Trail. The trail will give you both a breathtaking view of the Oregon Dunes, and passes through a forest, and out towards the beach. With a 5.5-mile distance, 311-foot elevation gain, and a loop style route, this trail is perfect for just about anyone looking for a great adventure in nature. You will hike through sand and some wetlands, so make sure you and your pup are equipped to handle the terrain. Your pup needs to stay on leash while you hike, and make sure to bring plenty of water with you.36

Wildwood Drive/ Oregon Coast Highway
The William M. Tugman State Park is a great area that you and your dog can explore together. The park offers great amenities like fishing, swimming, canoeing, boating, and sailing if your pup loves the water. If he would rather keep his paws on land, take advantage of the hiking trails that go around the south part of the lake and take you through a nature area that your dog will love sniffing. While visiting the park, make sure to keep your dog on leash and bring water along with you. Your pup is also allowed in the campground and cabins that the park offers for a pawtastic overnight stay.24

Lighthouse Road
Take your pup out to the Umpqua Lighthouse State Park for an amazing adventure with you. The park has dogtastic amenities like sand dunes, fishing, boating, and camping, and sits along the Winchester Bay, less then a mile from the Salmon Harbor. Hang out at Champion Park with your pup for a great afternoon out in nearby Reedsport. This park offers an off-leash dog park that is 7-acres of grass that your pup can run on. The dog park has a separated area for large and small dogs, plus clean-up bags and benches that owners can relax on. There is also water available for pups and restrooms for owners. If your pup doesn't want to socialize, take him out to Champion Park which features a river to splash in, and a great walking trail you can use for a walk together.
