Guys Mills
Head to the town of Guys Mills, a 14-mile drive northwest of Cooperstown. Take your pup to the Erie National Wildlife Refuge where visitors frequent to view hundreds of species of birds, native to the area. You and your pup can walk along miles of trails throughout the refuge and enjoy nature at its finest. Along French Creek, you will have plenty of time to relax and unwind in the great outdoors. Be sure to keep your pup on leash, bring plenty of water to share, and clean up after Fido. There are no restrooms on site, so plan accordingly.

Meadville South
Pick up your pup and head to the Cora Clark Park, in the Meadville South neighborhood of the city of Meadville, just 22 miles northwest of Cooperstown. Walk the many nature trails here that are perfect for any age pup. Some trails follow the hilly terrain of the area so be sure to frequent these with the more athletic dog. Lounge next to the creek that runs through the park, and visit the playground for the kiddies. A shady picnic pavilion is just waiting for you to share your lunch with your pawtastic friend. Second Ward
In the Second Ward neighborhood of the city of Meadville, 22 miles northwest of Cooperstown, you and your pawtastic pup have your choice of three area parks for you to enjoy. The Shady Brook Park, Elizabeth Park and HP Way Park all are pup-friendly and have features that any dog would love. There are paved walking paths to meander along, and beautifully landscaped grounds that are begging for a pup to romp through. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located at each park. It is important to keep your fur-ever friend on leash at each park, and clean up after him.

North Meadville
In the North Meadville neighborhood of the city of Meadville, 22 miles northwest of Cooperstown, Woodcock Lake Park is your ticket to outdoor fun with your pawtastic pup in tow! If you like to hike, grab your pup and his leash and choose one of many trails that lead throughout the park and into the adjacent areas. There is boating fun for all on Woodcock Creek Lake, as well as superb fishing access, so be sure to bring your pole. For an overnighter, there are pup-friendly camping grounds. Be sure to bring clean up mitts to keep this park pristine.

Franklin
A short 8-mile drive south from Cooperstown is the city of Franklin. Here you will find two pawtastic parks your fur-ever friend will adore. First stop is Riverfront Park, which boasts beautiful, large grassy areas that are perfect to throw a blanket down and relax with Fido. Or jump on the paved paths that meander throughout for some on-leash time to unwind. Second stop is the Two-Mile Run County Park with something for everyone. There is spectacular boating, camping, and fishing opportunities, as well as superb pup-friendly hiking for miles through the forest. Be sure to keep Fido on leash here.
