With old-fashioned street lamps and other quirky touches, Slippery Rock is known for being one of the prettiest towns in Western Pennsylvania. With both urban and rural green areas just waiting to be explored, as well as dog-friendly restaurants and two veterinary clinics, this is a town that any dog would really enjoy.

Your pooch will love the parks in Slippery Rock, especially the Slippery Rock Community Park, which is home to sports facilities, a playground, picnic areas, and a two mile long walking path. Rock Falls Park is also popular, with plenty of green areas for Fido to sniff about in. Since these are both urban parks, you will need to make sure that you keep your dog on a lead at all times, and don't forget to bring some doggie bags and drinking water with you too.

If you would like to treat your pup to a restaurant meal, the North Country Brewing Company allows dogs to dine with their owners on the outdoor patio. With seasonal beers, an eclectic food menu, and a topped-up bowl of cold water for Fido, this restaurant will quickly become a favorite.

With so many pawsome walks to be had, you and your pup will never get tired of exploring Slippery Rock.
