Hi I’m Charles! I have a 1 year old French bulldog named Frankie and my family has had dog breeds of several shapes and sizes. I love to get out with pups and have a good time in the fresh air, and am always down for some walks so I’d be glad to take your pup for one too. Something I’m pretty good at is getting even the laziest dogs to be happy and excited, some just need a little energy to get them going, I know my Frenchie does!

Hi I'm Quinn! Doggy dad to Hercules & Khal (2 toy poodles)! I have always loved dogs and been around them all my life! I also enjoy being physically active and would love to take your dog on long walks and can confidently handle any size of dog! I know from experience how important your dog is to you and I will treat them as if they were my own!

Taking time from my University studies to rejuvenate and travel, dog walking with Wag allows me to earn a little extra! I was four years old when I began training our family dog. I was home alone for a few hours and crafted a special bond with our purebred Rottweiler named Zeus. Sometimes I get along better with animals than people, probably because my family has always bred dogs and treated them as part of the family. Wag is an amazing way for me to blend both my love for exercise and dogs!

I grew up in a home that always had at least 1 dog - my parents seemed to favor golden retrievers. I have over 7 years of dog sitting experience ranging from small dogs like a cockapoo to larger dogs like labs. I love them all equally! I love that every dog has their own personality and different interests. I’m looking forward to taking your beloved pet out for some fresh air and fun!

Hi, I'm Molly! I live in Spring, Texas and am basically convinced that dogs are the best thing that's ever happened to mankind. I had the opportunity to volunteer in shelters while in college at TAMU (whoop!). I then graduated to fostering and now have three adopted pups of my own (Odin, Maximus, and Astro). I am a lover of ALL dogs and can't wait to meet your best friend!

The large manufacturing city of Erie, Pennsylvania, has a long history with pet ownership and has one of the oldest humane societies in the States. The population of Erie has been going back and forth around a total of 100,000 citizens and thus there has been a high amount of animals in Erie since the beginning of last century.
The main natural attraction of Erie, Lake Erie, is one of the first places to look to walk the dog. The Presque Isle State Park Beach is a 3,200-acre natural park that is coincidentally also the only coastal shore in the state of Pennsylvania. Dogs have to be leashed at all times but can still enjoy a splash in the water or a hike through the dunes.
The dogs of Erie currently do not have an off-leash dog park to themselves. This is why the Humane Society of Northwest Pennsylvania built their own. Behind their facility are two playgrounds - one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Owners can take a sit on one of the benches while the dogs get wild in the wading pools in the play areas.
Just paying a short visit to Erie, Pennsylvania? There are many pet-friendly hotels in the city such as the Comfort Inn & Suites, the Days Inn, the La Quinta Inn & Suites and the Riviera Motel.
Eaglehurst, near Presque Isle State Park, is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner before or after you’ve worn your pup out at the park. At Sara’s Restaurant, the majority of the seats are outside and welcome dogs! You can also order their famous Doggie Dish of ice cream (vanilla with a dog bone on top!) for your best friend. Schickalay’s on the Beach is a bar with typical pub food, and a shaded backyard area perfect for relaxing pups. If you’d rather your dog joined you for a meal, Ugly Tuna Tavern in Eaglehurst has a puppy hour menu! Dig in and enjoy.
City Center is a great choice for doggie dining experiences. You don’t have to leave the bustle of downtown to enjoy a relaxing meal. Bayfront Grille right on the water offers dog-friendly outdoor seating and Italian-inspired cuisine. U Pick 6 Tap House is a bar with a small menu of classic pub foods, like loaded hot dogs and appetizers. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and water will be provided. For something a little more refined, check out the Cloud 9 Wine Bar! This place offers twists on classics, like vegetarian pizza. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and can receive both ice water and attention!
McClelland Park is a great place to walk your dog. There are plenty of trails that wind through this large park. The real gem is inside, however: Larry R. Fabrizi Dog Park! This off-leash dog park has two areas, one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. While the interior of the fenced areas are a little plain, they make up for that by being large and extremely popular! Dogs who love to make new friends will adore Larry R. Fabrizi Dog Park! If your dog gets tired of being social, just leash back up and walk the McClelland Park trails again!
Six Mile Creek Park in Harborcreek is a great place to bring dogs you really want to tire out. Despite the name, there’s a lot more than six miles to explore in this 400-acre park. The park is mostly undeveloped; though there are many clear trails, they don’t have the manicured appearance of some other places. The terrain is varied, with flat near the creek and hill climbing steeply the further you get away from it. The park is very open, so it’s up to you how far you go and how difficult the journey is. Just keep your dog on leash!
The only drawback to this park is that, like most state parks, dogs have to be on leash inside of it. Otherwise, Presque Isle State Park may be the most pawsome place dogs can visit. This park combines hiking and walking trails with beach-front access. It borders directly on Lake Erie, giving lots of beaches for pups to play on. The hiking trails through wooded areas top 13 miles! Whether your dog loves to lounge in the sand or hit the trail, Presque Isle State Park is the place to go--and the drive is only 5 minutes from Erie, PA!
