This rural area offers easy access to pawtastic outdoor adventures for you and your pup. When you're looking for veterinary care for Fido, you'll find about a dozen clinics in the Greater State College Area, just six miles to the northeast.

A puptacular place to go exploring with your canine companion is Patton Woods Nature Recreation Area, about six miles to the north. This 62.7-acre plot of undeveloped land allows you to let your dogs go off-leash as long as they're under your control at all times. Hunting is permitted here between September 15 and January 31 each year, so plan your outing accordingly.

To treat your special buddy to some playtime with other canines, take him to Tudek Dog Park in State College. This fenced facility has separate areas for large and small dogs. There are water stations, waste bags, and receptacles available here for your convenience. 

In the northeastern corner of the village, you can connect to the Musser Gap Trail for a puptacular hike into Rothrock State Forest. The trail is around six miles in length and provides scenic views from Skyline Vista. Dogs on a leash are welcome here.
