East Hills
East Hills Park is a two minute drive from the borough of Wilkinsburg. This park is a gorgeous green space in the middle of a highly residential area. It’s broken up into two main parts. The first is a large baseball diamond. The second lumps the rest of the amenities together, such as a small playground, two tennis courts, and a few picnic tables. There are paths that connect these features, but your dog is more likely to enjoy a roll in the green grass. Leashed pets are welcome in East Hills Park.

Regent Square
Koenig Field is in the Regent Square neighborhood, and straddles several boroughs, but Wilkinsburg claims the park! It’s a great asset, too, because this classic park has a little something for everyone. Looking for a park you can bring the whole family too? Look no further! This park has a playground for kids. It also features tennis and basketball courts. Open green space can be set up to support other sports. Dogs will love sitting by your side at the picnic tables, rolling in the grass, or walking the path with you! This park has an oval walking path that lets you log how many miles you’ve covered with your dog!24

Squirrel Hill South
Frick Park is a nine minute drive from Wilkinsburg, and it’s absolutely worth it. This park is huge! It has a playground and sports fields, but the major draw is the off leash dog park! You have to walk deep into the park, but follow the barks to the most fun your dog can have in Squirrell Hill South! This designated off leash area is not fully fenced, so be careful if your dog is still working on coming when called. It’s set deep into the park, so so there’s little risk in the immediate area. Homewood South
Westinghouse Park is the main attraction for dog walkers in Homewood South. This park isn’t huge, but it has a little of everything that your dog needs to stay engaged. There’s a small playground and basketball court in the park, so your dog can people watch during your walk. There’s also a wide meadow perfect for exploring! You can follow the paths between attractions for a gentle walk. Homewood Playground is the place to go if you need to get a dog walk in while your kids play sports.
