Dog Areas in Wilkinsburg

2 Parks
Wilkinsburg is a borough of Pittsburgh. It can be tough to know what's inside this area, since the locations inside still have Pittsburgh addresses. On the plus side, it's easy to know what you're close to: everything! Wilkinsburg is a fantastic base camp for all things Pittsburgh, from doggie dining to any sort of park your pup's heart desires!

Start your exploration with Hunter Park. This large, open park is a gorgeous field. It's also within the bounds of the Wilkinsburg borough! This is a great place to take an energetic dog for a nice, long walk. You can bring your own team to play a little sports, or leash up your pup for a quiet walk. This park is light on amenities, but space is a premium in Wilkinsburg!

You can also explore Ballfield. This simply named park is a gathering place for local sports teams. There's an open grass area and a small baseball field. Your leashed dog can explore the field at your side. If there's a game in progress, you can skirt the edges for a convenient walk within the boundaries of Wilkinsburg.

Wilkinsburg is the Pittsburgh borough to beat, and when it comes to dog-friendliness, it's not giving ground!

East Hills Park is a two minute drive from the borough of Wilkinsburg. This park is a gorgeous green space in the middle of a highly residential area. It’s broken up into two main parts. The first is a large baseball diamond. The second lumps the rest of the amenities together, such as a small playground, two tennis courts, and a few picnic tables. There are paths that connect these features, but your dog is more likely to enjoy a roll in the green grass. Leashed pets are welcome in East Hills Park.
