“Experienced! Puppies to Seniors, Pugs to Labs!”

Hi, I’m Rachel! I grew up with Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds. At 15, I got my first job working at a dog kennel. From that point on, dogs were always a large part of my life. I went on to work at a doggie daycare, and volunteered at several different animal shelters. Today, I have a nonprofit called Shelter’s Helpers of Pittsburgh. We work to support the shelters and rescues in the Pittsburgh area.

Responsible, reliable and caring, I grew up with dogs as pets and two years ago adopted Bella, an 8 year old terrier beagle mix. She had very bad separation anxiety and was pretty withdrawn when she came to me, so I understand how important it is to have someone check in on and look after your dog and I am experienced looking after more reserved and nervous dogs as well as outgoing and energetic types too. I'm a car owner so we can get out and about to local parks or the dog park if that's what your dog enjoys. Or if a gentle stroll round the neighborhood is more their thing I'm equally happy with that. I want to treat your dog just like you do. Let me know if your dog needs to burn off some energy and we'll go for a short run. Any favorite games and toys or training you'd like us to do while we are out? Let me know and I'll happily do that too.
