The Siouxon Creek Trail is a challenging 13.8-mile round trip hike in eastern Amboy. It will take you about eight miles to complete this hike with your dog, and it is a trek best reserved for experienced hikers. Along your journey, you'll come across waterfalls, forest areas, babbling brooks, and much more. There are convenient locations along the way where you can stop for a picnic or take a break. Your dog must remain on a leash during this breathtaking hike, but living in Amboy means you're just minutes away from off-leash parks.

Pacific Community Park is a 56-acre park, and in addition to the off-leash park, it has picnic shelters, an extreme sports area, basketball courts, and more. The Dakota Memorial Dog Park is an eight-acre park that includes a separate area for small or shy dogs, as well as agility equipment and a gravel walking trail. The dog park also has a double-gated entry system, dog wash stations, drinking water for pets, waste disposal supplies, and seating for pet parents.

There is also a fenced agility course for adventurous doggos, double-gated entryways, and benches. There's drinking water available for dogs in the warmer months of the year, but bring your own in the winter. Lucky Memorial Dog Park is located next to the Lauretta Noreen Forest Preserve, and you and your dog can walk its miles of trails together when your dog is on a leash.

The Ross Dog Park is located in the West Minnehaha neighborhood, and it's an eight-acre space. The dog park includes an area just for dogs under 25 pounds, as well as a section for bigger dogs. In addition to the park's walking trails and vast fields for your dog to run and chase a ball in, there is also a large hill in the park which is an excellent way to tire your dog out. The park provides visitors with drinking water for pets and waste disposal supplies.

Your dog can join you on the concrete or asphalt paths as well as other areas of the park as long as they're wearing their leash. This great community park is open daily from 7 AM to dusk.

The Kane Memorial Dog Park is located in the Hockinson Meadows neighborhood, a luxurious and unique community. Kane Memorial Park is a four-acre dog park with double-gated entries. Dogs aren't separated by their weight at this park, and there's also a 1/5-mile walking trail throughout the park. The off-leash area also has waste disposal supplies and drinking water. Kane Memorial Park is located within Hockinson Meadows Community Park, and your dog can join you in other areas of the park if they're on a leash.
