Freedom Park is a well-loved spot among the local kids and families thanks to its 12,000-square-foot playground. Camano Hill
The Henry Hollow Off-Leash Dog Park is a newly opened, 7-acre site where the community's canines can exercise and play in a safe environment. With separate areas for large and small dogs, this fully fenced dog park offers high-energy pups plenty of room to romp unfettered. Pick-up bags and trash receptacles are provided to make cleaning up after Fido easy. All dogs using the park must be licensed, vaccinated, and kept on-leash until they are inside the fenced area. To reach the Henry Hollow Off-Leash Dog Park, proceed down the driveway across the street from Camano Chapel. The gravel parking lot can only accommodate eight vehicles, so come early!

Utsalady / Olsen / Rolfso
Tucked on the northeastern edge of the island, the English Boom Historical Park was once part of the area's thriving timber industry. Today, it is a peaceful spot where visitors can get close to nature, take quiet walks, and go birdwatching. Dogs are welcome as long as they stay on-leash and are cleaned up after. Take your best friend for a stroll on the waterfront trail and enjoy the puptastic views of Puget Sound and Mount Baker. To learn more about the history of the area, stop by the interpretive signage next to the picnic shelter. Be sure to bring sunscreen as shade is limited.

For an outing that's off the beaten path, head to the Iverson Spit Waterfront Preserve. This hidden gem, though a bit hard to find, is definitely worth the trip. Iverson Spit offers hiking, beachcombing, skimboarding, and birdwatching, all for free! Frolic in the sand and among driftwood with your pup, or step onto the Hobbit Trail and be transported into a different world as you and Fido make your way through moss-covered trees and bushes. The trail then ends at a canal with furrific views of Puget Sound. Doggos are allowed at the Iverson Spit Waterfront Preserve, provided they are leashed and licensed.
