Tigger

“T-I-Double Guh-Er!” Many of us remember that iconic catchphrase from the one and only Tigger from Winnie-the-Pooh. In his personal anthem, he declares, “The most wonderful thing about tiggers, is that I’m the only one!” Tigger is one of the most famous cartoon tigers out there.

Alan Milne, the creator of the Winnie-the-Pooh series, named Tigger after his son Christopher Robin Milne’s stuffed tiger. Tigger first appeared as a character in the book series in 1928 and made his debut on film in the 1968 Disney film Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. Tigger’s long history and widespread fame mean it’s possible even your grandparents grew up knowing and loving Tigger.

Tigger is mostly recognized for his orange coat with black stripes and cream belly. He also has large black eyes, a big red nose, a long chin, and a bouncy tail. An orange tabby cat would wear this name well.
