Dog Names Ending in S

The pop singer Alecia Moore, more commonly referred to as Pink, had an English Bulldog by the name of Elvis. Elvis was a gift from Elvis Presley's daughter, and her good friend, Lisa Marie Presley. Pink loved Elvis very much. Elvis, unfortunately, was taken from this life too soon when he drowned in her swimming pool. Pink loved him so much she now wears a permanent tribute of Elvis, in the form of a tattoo, in his remembrance. It reads, "A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, a time to dance, sleep in peace my darling, I release you."  

Audrey Hepburn had a Yorkie dog by the name of Mr. Famous. Audrey Hepburn and Mr. Famous actually were in movies together.  He appeared in a scene alongside her in the movie, Funny Face.  A very interesting fact is that Audrey Hepburn familiarized the rest of Hollywood with the idea of Yorkshire Terriers; as well as the concept of having a lap dog. Audrey also had a fawn named Pippen that Mr. Famous was quite jealous of, but it was Mr. Famous who was the one true love of Audrey's life.

Audrey Hepburn and Mr. Famous graced the covers of many magazines together. He was the source of her happiness and the recipient of her love. He soon became an essential part of her life as her beloved companion. It was a tragedy when, during the shooting of The Children's Hour in 1962, he was run over on Wilshire Boulevard. Audrey was so heartbroken over the loss of her beloved Mr. Famous that Mel Ferrer would attempt to replace him with another Yorkie. The Yorkie’s name, Assam of Assam, came from the Sanskrit word for “irregular”.  

There are two canine members of the Legally Blonde cast. While most remember the titular character’s Chihuahua, Bruiser, the real star was Rufus. Retrieving Rufus is what Elle and Paulette truly bonded over as their dogs were their kids. Rufus, unfortunately, does not have a huge physical role in the movie, but his role in the overall plot and story development was vital. Plus, that face. The dog was played by the canine actress Lily. This remains Lily’s only movie credit despite the film debut being 2001.
