Gossip Girl Dog Names

The world of Gossip Girl is so unreachable for most of the people around the world, however, maybe that’s why it is so exciting. People love seeing what incredibly rich people do, and the series showcases their lives in a struggle to find themselves and become decent human beings, with proper values and good relationships. The character of Gossip Girl is grounding many of the characters, letting them know that they will not be able to get away with everything and that someone will always hold them accountable for their actions. 

Even though it is probably hard to relate to the immense wealth and the lavish lifestyle the main characters live, Dan Humphrey, the poor boy, is continually trying to bring the rich to the ground by showing them how real people live. In one of such cases, Chuck Bass, one of the most charming characters in the show, became emotionally numb after a harsh break up with Blair Waldorf and refused to let himself feel anything. Since Blair was with Louis Grimaldi at the time, Chuck thought that he would never have her back in his arms, and just switched off his emotions. Dan, being the kind person he is, decided to help him by giving him an adorable dog named Monkey. 

Monkey is an incredibly cute doggo who helped Chuck go through the pain when he found out that Blair is pregnant, and he can be seen cuddling with him. Chuck was, however, repulsed by Monkey in the beginning. He refused to take care of him, but after a little while, when Monkey tilted his head and just acted adorable, Chuck’s icy heart started to melt, and he decided to keep him and care for him, as all responsible dog owners should. He had Monkey neutered, bought him a bed, and fed him the best food he could find. He took him for walks around New York and generally found true companionship with the dog. 

His name comes from Chuck’s other pet, an actual monkey called Sweetie, who appeared in the Gossip Girl novels. Monkey is also quite a friendly doggo. He gets along well with all of Chuck’s friends, but he has a special place in his heart for Nate Archibald and Dan. He is also a well-behaved pup, responding well to command, as Chuck taught him how to attack as well!
