Introduction
Mission Impossible Dog Names In Pop Culture
Spinee has been said to be a very friendly and charming dog by anyone who's had the pleasure of meeting J.J. Abrams' long-time pet. As Labs are naturally very friendly animals who are excellent around children, Spinee's reputation somewhat proceeds them, as anyone who's been invited to visit J.J. Abrams' home typically come prepared to have a meet and greet with the lovable Lab. Spinee very recently had a very scary experience however, when J.J. Abrams had to take the Lab in to receive emergency surgery. Thankfully, Abrams has confirmed that Spinee seems to be recovering well via a series of tweets that the director posted during the night of June 28th, 2018.
Actor Simon Pegg, who has portrayed the character of Benjamin "Benji" Dunn since the third Mission Impossible film, is also a notorious dog lover and has states that his two dogs, Minnie and Myrtle, are two of the greatest joys in his life. Minnie and Myrtle have a very interesting relationship with Pegg's family and each other, with Minnie being credited as having once saved Myrtle's life by "starring down" Pegg's mother-in-law until the woman followed Minnie only to find Myrtle choking on a bone. Based on this incredible story, it would seem that Minnie may very have what it takes to become the Impossible Mission Force's first canine operative! All jokes aside, we're always delighted to hear stories about dogs saving the loves of one another, as well as hearing stories about dogs saving the lives of human beings and other animals.
Mission Impossible Dog Name Considerations
It's for the reasons listed above, as well as just being a big fan of great action/spy movies that you should consider naming your dog after a character from the Mission Impossible series. You could always name your dog Ethan or Hunter if you're a big fan of the film series and its daring protagonist. If you're a big fan of the TV series the films are based on, on the other hand, you could always name your dog after Dan Briggs or even Jim Phelps, who was originally a heroic character in the show.
