Jerry Jewel is a famous American voice actor who lent his voice to a character called Kaworu Nagisa, whose real name is actually Tabris. Jerry Lee is the star of the buddy cop action comedy movie K-9 where he stars alongside James Belushi and Mel Harris. In the film, Jim Belushi plays a San Diego police detective with a bad temper named Michael Dooley, a cop tagged to be executed by a drug dealer Ken. To help his colleague, Sergeant Brannigan gives him an unusual partner, a drug-sniffing police dog Jerry Lee, who got his name after the famous rock and roll singer Jerry Lee Lewis. Dooley and Jerry try to capture Ken Lyman, the drug dealer and put him where he belongs – in prison, but detective Dooley soon learns that Jerry is not a typical police dog. He is quite smart and independent, and does not really take orders, but rather does things his way and when he wants to.

In the beginning, Jerry doesn’t seem to be that interested in doing police work with Dooley. When they go to a warehouse where they suspect the drugs are hidden, Jerry Lee finds only a cigarette and does not listen to what Dooley commands him to do, which makes workers laugh at the detective for his lack of authority over the dog. Later, in the pub, the dynamic duo chases Benny the Mule who can help charge Lyman, but of course, their cover is blown, and Jerry saves Dooley from a beating. They also find out when the next drug shipment will happen!

Later, in Dooley’s apartment, Dooley and Jerry Lee bond over some food while they spy on Lyman. They are almost killed when someone shoots at them, and they chase after the shooter but fail to catch him. Jerry Lee successfully identifies Lyman’s car, and falls in love with a lovely Poodle, even though her owner is not very thrilled.
