Introduction
Tarzan Dog Names in Pop Culture
According to the Police Report filed on the incident, Tarzan and his human partner were dispatched to the city of Youngtown to respond to a disturbance call made by a local resident. The home Tarzan and his partner were sent to investigate had been reported by numerous residents, on multiple occasions, as being a hot spot for all sorts of trouble and nasty business. Tarzan and his partner were on high alert due to these factors, as a number of residents warned the Police that one of the suspects they were trying to apprehend would likely try to fight or run if they realized Law Enforcement officers were closing in on them.
To cover all possible escape routes, Tarzan and his partner had to walk through a dark and foreboding alleyway in order to keep an eye out for their suspect. It was in this alleyway that Tarzan and his partner encountered another dog who was wandering around the backyard of one of the homes the officers had been told to be wary of. For whatever reason, this dog became immediately hostile towards Tarzan and started moving towards the K-9 rather quickly.
Tarzan's partner asked this dog's owner to restrain her pet multiple times, which she tried but ultimately failed to do. Ignoring its owner's orders, the dog attacked Tarzan right before a deputy's eyes. The deputy tried to physically stop the attack, but the attacking dog was too large to be pulled away by one officer. With very few options left, Tarzan's partner made the decision to discharge their firearm in order to save the K-9's life. The situation ultimately ended in tragedy as the attacking dog gave in to its wounds and passed away immediately while Tarzan was left in critical condition. Recent news has revealed that Tarzan is still in hospital but seems to be recovering slowly but steadily.
Tarzan Dog Name Considerations
Another reason one might want to consider naming their dog after Tarzan is due to the various themes the character represents; Tarzan is, at his core, a character who was thrust into an impossible situation and was forced to adapt the jungle. Tarzan is a survivor, one of fiction's quintessential examples, but he's also an advocate for the just treatment of animals and bridge between the animal kingdom and the kingdom of man.
