Introduction
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dog Names In Pop Culture
Indeed, Dogpound initially debuted in the 2012 series as a famous martial artist and celebrity in the TMNT world whom Michelangelo practically idolized. Chris Bradford was his name and, to the world at large, he was simply a famous guy with crazy kung fu skills. But unbeknownst to the prying eyes of the public, Chris Bradford was secretly the top pupil of the Shredder and a high ranking member of the Foot Clan.
This put Bradford directly at odds with the turtles, leading to a multitude of encounters between Bradford and the turtles (Bradford would often have the upper hand in most of those battles). But over time, the turtles became more adept at dealing with Bradford, diminishing his positive standing with Shredder and overall status as a threat. Luckily for him, and unluckily for the turtles, Chris Bradford would receive a major upgrade once he was exposed to dosage of raw mutagen after being bitten by the Shredder's pet Akita, Hachiko. The transformative liquid mixed Bradford's DNA with Hachiko's, causing Chris to mutate into a massive canine form with an over sized left hand and an overall appearance that resembled a humanoid Akita. This change caused Michelangelo to start calling Chris Dogpound; a name the other turtles initially disregarded but eventually took a liking to themselves.
As Dogpound, Bradford's strength and senses were enhanced greatly and he regained his status as a legitimate threat to the turtles for a time until the brother eventually learned to cope with Dogpound's new strengths and weaknesses. Dogpound would receive another upgrade via mutagen, evolving him into a gangling super mutant form with long sharp claws and razor sharp fangs. Bradford then took on the name Rahzar to reflect his new status as a super mutant and ultimate threat to the Ninja Turtles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dog Name Considerations
Conversely, the main four turtles of the series each have distinct personalities that might help you find a great name for you dog. Leonardo, for example, is the most level headed of the turtles, so Leonardo or Leo would be great names for an even tempered dog. Raphael is hot heated, Donatello is cunning, and Michelangelo is wiry, so choose appropriately between the four brothers and their temperaments.
