Ukrainian Dog Names in Pop Culture
One of the most heartwarming dog stories in recent years comes from Ukraine. A dog named Lucy was injured and unable to move from some railroad tracks after being hit by a train near the village of Tseglovka. Stranded, Lucy's situation was dire.
Luckily, she was with her canine compadre Panda, who risked his own life to protect her. Panda stood guard over Lucy for two days, warding off strangers and other animals.
He would even lie down next to Lucy when a train was coming and push her head down so they could safely duck underneath as the trains passed overhead.
Eventually, both pups were rescued by a local. They even snuggled up together in the trunk of their rescuer's car.
