Algonac State Park offers visitors access to the 1,500 acres of land it is situated on, access to the river bank, archery, trap shooting, camping, and hiking. On-leash dogs are allowed to accompany their parents while enjoying these amenities! St. Clair Flats State Wildlife Area is plotted on 3,355 acres and offers birding, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, wildlife viewing and hiking trails. From April 15 - July 15 dogs are required to be on leash. However, any other time of the year they can run around off-leash!
