This town is a great place to stop if you find yourself in Hartford County and want some dog-friendly adventures during your stay. The northern part of Enfield rest right against the state line, which is a great spot for a scenic selfie! Powder Hollow Park is a wonderful spot in the city of Enfield where you can take your dog for a long walk after a stressful day at the office.

You will both feel better after a long week if you head down to the Scantic River State Park. This park is complete with trails and hills that you can walk or hike. Enfield has many shops and things for dogs and their people to do.  Enfield Dog Park is located at Ecology Drive and Town Farm Road.  This dog park is a spacious, fully fenced area that gives dogs a chance to socialize and just be dogs. There is a separate enclosure for small dogs. The ground is covered with wood chips, and there are trees within the enclosure which give a bit of shade. Water is available on-site, and doggie waste bags are stocked within the dog park. A few benches give people a place to sit while dogs dash about, wagging their tails and finding a new friend to sniff. Enfield is open from 7 AM until 8 PM.

Wethersfield is 26 miles south of Enfield.  Mill Woods Park Dog Park is located at 154 Prospect Street.  This dog park has two enclosures -- one for large dogs and another for small. The ground is covered with wood chips so Fido won't get dirty after a good romp at the park. Water stations are available in case you forget to bring some for Fido. Doggie waste bags are stocked and make it convenient to clean up.  A few picturesque wrought-iron benches allow people to rest while their four-legged friend romps about and discovers some new scents. Many trees are planted within the interior of the dog park.  Mill Woods is open 24 hours.

South Windsor is 14 miles south of Enfield. South Windsor Bark Park is located at Nevers and Sand Hill Road. This dog park has a fully fenced enclosure with a separate area for small dogs. The ground of the dog park is covered with wood chips, and the enclosure backs to a forest. There are water fountains designed for both dogs and people. Agility equipment helps dogs train and get some extra exercise. Doggie waste bags are stocked, and keep the dog park sanitary. Plastic chairs are scattered throughout the dog park, and can be pulled under trees to get some shade. A few benches provide people a vantage point for supervising their pup. A walkway encircles the dog park, and lets person and dog enjoy some on-leash exercise together.

This dog park is a fully-fenced enclosure that gives dogs room to run, sniff, and socialize. There is a separate area for small dogs. The ground in this dog park is covered in mulch, and the field backs to a few sparse trees. Dogs and people are able to take a walk down to the river, so bring some decent shoes! Benches allow people a place from which to supervise their dogs. If you and Fido get hungry, Bricco Trattoria serves Italian cuisine to you and your canine companion at outdoor, dog-friendly tables.

East Windsor has a lush area of green grass for dogs to run and socialize. There are some mature shade trees, a few chairs, doggie waste bags, and a paved walkway for an extra bit of exercise together. This dog park does not have water on-site, so remember to bring a bottle. Baymont Inn welcomes up to two dogs up to fifty pounds for an additional fee of $50 per dog per stay.
