Take a leisurely stroll on the beach with your pup, and then sit in the sand with them and spend the day relaxing and watching the waves crash into the shore. If walking on the beach makes you hungry, head over to Java Joint. Dogs are welcome at this café’s outdoor tables, and your server will give your dog treats and a water bowl. While your dog enjoys their treat, you can dine on breakfast burritos, pancakes, omelets, and more.
This neighborhood is home to Flagler Beach’s one off-leash dog park, which is located within Wadsworth Park. Here, your dog can run and play in separate large and small dog areas. There are plenty of trees to keep the park shady and cool, and there’s water available for your dog. Your pup will love playing in this dog park. After the dog park, treat your pup to a snack at The Bark Spot. This local pet store offers a wide variety of natural treats, and they also have a large selection of dog toys. Daytona Beach’s Lincoln Park neighborhood is home to a great off-leash area, Halifax Humane Society Dog Park. This dog park is about 22 miles from Flagler Beach, and it has separate fenced-in areas for large and small dogs to play in. There’s also agility equipment in the dog park, including tunnels and poles for dogs to weave through. Plus, there are shade structures to keep the park cool on hot days, and water is also available for your dog. Bring some toys or a Frisbee, and have a ball playing with your pup in this dog park.
This Palm Coast neighborhood is home to a fun beach park that welcomes dogs on-leash called Old Salt Park. Located just 10 miles from Flagler Beach, this park offers access to unique coquina rock formations. It’s also a popular spot to go fishing. You and your pup will always have a great time walking on this beautiful beach and enjoying the views of the Atlantic Ocean. If you want to grab a snack after your beach walk, head over to Rosie’s Pizzeria & Ice Creamery. This casual restaurant welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve New York-style thin-crust pizza. For dessert, they offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors.
If your pup wants to spend some time running off-leash, check out Riviera Oaks Dog Park in Sable Palms, which is about 20 miles from Flagler Beach. This dog park has three fenced-in areas: one for dogs over 31 pounds, one for dogs under 31 pounds, and a covered pavilion that can be used during rainy weather. These areas all have plenty of space for your dog to run around, and there’s also fresh water available for them. After the dog park, continue your fun day out with lunch at Oliv Epicurean Grill. Sit at one of Oliv’s dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoying delicious Mediterranean fare, including falafel wraps, kefta bowls, and hummus with pita bread.
