This park is just a short drive from Georgetown, just off of Interstate 80 going towards Sacramento. You’ll find plenty of agility equipment for your dog to play on here. A neat feature of this park is its small waterfall, with nice, cool, and fresh water for your dog to cool off in. Just a short drive south towards Sacramento, Roseville boasts a couple of parks that are great for dogs. Marco Dog Park has small pools that you are welcome to fill up with the provided hose so that your furry friend can splash, play, and cool off. There is also a large field that is nicely landscaped with rolling hills that is fenced in from the road so that your pup stays safe. The culvert is open for water to flow through a channel on one side of the park that those crazy dogs run through. This park is a ton of fun, which makes it well worth the 45-minute drive!

Bear Dog Park in Roseville’s Woodcreek Oaks neighborhood is beautifully landscaped and kept very clean. The owners who frequent this park pride themselves in maintaining such a great park. The city encourages dog owners to bring their furry friends to this park to enjoy the large fenced in areas that keep your pups safe. There are also spaces for bigger dogs to be separated from little ones, so no one gets hurt or scared. The trees and the grass are perfect all year-round for sniffing and the occasional marking.

Fido Field Dog Park is an off-leash park that welcomes all dogs to run around, socialize, and sniff everything. Recently, they expanded the park to have three areas for dogs. Look for the third area behind the BMX bike track. There are pavilions, gazebos, picnic tables, and water fountains for your pup and the whole family to enjoy. Bring your favorite lunch or dinner with you, make sure Rover gets some steak, and let them run free while you enjoy time with the family. All areas are fenced in to keep all paws on safe ground.

Just a few miles north of Georgetown, you will find the Dave Moore Nature Area, which has trails and fields for your dog to explore. This park does require leashes. You can take a journey through the forests that extend from the Eldorado National Forest that borders Lake Tahoe. The trails are not so long that the whole family would not be able to enjoy the beautiful views this area provides. The South Fork American River runs through the area, so Fido has some water to play in while you hike the trails.
