Lake Orion is a village in the center of the Orion Township in Michigan. This village has a personality all its own with plenty of historic buildings to explore. It is about 45 minutes from Detroit. The village is less than two square miles, but the population is growing fast. Lake Orion has been around since the early 1800s and was once little more than a sawmill and some simple homesteads.

The town's namesake lake is 482 acres where you can explore, swim, sail, and fish with your whole family. Dog walkers love the village for its simple charm and scenic walks. There are very few places you can walk without enjoying the views of the sparkling waters of the lake.

If you are looking for a yummy tail-wagging spot, CJ's Sandbar is a pup-friendly restaurant in downtown Lake Orion. There are four outdoor tables where you can enjoy a burger, seafood, or a salad, paired with a top-rated beverage, with your pup enjoying the smells right next to you.

There are three animal hospitals between Lake Orion and the larger area of Lake Orion Township, so you won't have much trouble finding the care your pet needs if you are moving into the area.
